Gambling is entertainment. cd999 is committed to making sure it stays that way for every player on our platform. This page covers the tools, resources and policies we have built to help Pakistani users play safely, within their means, and in full control.
Our Commitment
At cd999, responsible gambling is not a page on a website — it is a design philosophy that shapes how we build features, write terms and communicate with players. We want every person who uses our platform, whether they are following PSL fixtures from Karachi, catching live casino action in Lahore, or tracking ICC tournament odds in Islamabad, to do so in a way that is healthy, informed and in control.
The reality of gambling, any form of it, is that a minority of players can develop patterns that move from recreational entertainment into something that harms them or the people around them. That risk does not disappear by ignoring it. So instead of burying the responsible gambling section in small print, cd999 places it front and centre, with practical tools that actually work.
cd999 is an adults-only platform. The minimum age to register and use any feature on this site is 18 years. Where the conditions of our applicable licence jurisdiction require a higher minimum age, that higher age applies. There are no exceptions. Age verification is a mandatory part of the registration and KYC process, and accounts where age cannot be verified will be closed.
Pakistan has specific gambling restrictions under the Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977, and other applicable legislation. cd999 does not claim to be licensed or endorsed by any Pakistani government authority. This page does not constitute legal advice. Players are responsible for understanding the laws applicable in their own jurisdiction before participating.
Entertainment only: Gambling should never be used as a way to make money, cover debts or resolve financial difficulties. If you find yourself gambling to recover losses, please use the self-exclusion or deposit-limit tools described on this page, or contact our support team directly.
Core Principles
Treat gambling as entertainment with a cost — like a cinema ticket or a meal out. Set a budget before you start and stick to it.
Use deposit, loss and session limits before your first bet, not after a losing streak. Limits set in advance are far more effective.
Every gambling session can end in a loss. Never chase losses by placing bigger bets or extending your session to "win it back".
Use session time reminders and cooling-off periods. Stepping away from the platform, even briefly, helps maintain perspective and control.
If gambling is affecting your relationships, finances or mental wellbeing, talk to someone you trust. Seeking support is a sign of strength.
Account Tools
These tools are available to all registered cd999 players from the account settings panel. They are not hidden features — we built them to be used.
Set a maximum deposit amount per day, per week or per month. Once set, you cannot deposit more than your chosen limit within that period. A reduction takes effect immediately; an increase requires a mandatory cooling-off period before it applies.
Daily / Weekly / MonthlyCap the amount you can lose over a defined period. If your net losses reach the limit you have set, betting and gaming activity is paused until the next period begins. Loss limits are one of the most effective ways to stay within a personal gambling budget.
Net Loss ControlSet a maximum gaming session duration. When your session limit is reached, you will receive a notification and the platform will prompt you to take a break. Session limits apply across all product types — sportsbook, live casino and slots.
Session ManagementConfigure automatic on-screen notifications at intervals you choose (e.g., every 30 minutes) to remind you how long you have been playing and how much you have staked. Reality checks help break the immersive flow of extended gaming sessions.
Interval NotificationsTake a short break — 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days — during which your account is temporarily closed to new bets and deposits. You can still withdraw existing funds. A cooling-off is useful when you feel your gambling frequency is becoming uncomfortable but you are not ready for full self-exclusion.
Temporary BreakPermanently or for a defined period (minimum 6 months), exclude yourself from all cd999 Services. During self-exclusion, your account is fully suspended — no access, no deposits, no bets. We retain your self-exclusion record to prevent inadvertent re-registration. Contact support to activate this immediately.
Permanent or Long-TermHow to Access These Tools: All six tools above are accessible from the Responsible Gambling section of your cd999 account settings. You do not need to contact support to set deposit, loss or session limits — they can be configured directly in your account dashboard. For self-exclusion and cooling-off requests that you want actioned urgently, please contact our support team via live chat or email at [email protected].
Platform Commitments
Beyond the tools players can set themselves, cd999 applies these platform-level safeguards to every account.
All registered users must complete KYC age verification. Accounts that cannot provide satisfactory proof of age (18+, or higher per licence jurisdiction) are suspended and closed. No underage access is permitted under any circumstances.
Our platform monitors account activity for patterns associated with problematic gambling — rapid loss-chasing, sudden large deposit increases, or irregular session patterns. Where such patterns are detected, we may proactively reach out to the player or apply protective measures.
If our support team identifies a player who may be experiencing gambling-related difficulties, we will make contact. Our team is trained to handle such conversations with discretion and to direct players to appropriate tools and resources.
cd999 does not market gambling as a route to financial gain. Promotional content does not target individuals who have self-excluded or set loss limits. We do not send gambling marketing communications to users who have opted out.
Once a self-exclusion is active, it cannot be reversed until the exclusion period has fully elapsed. Players are encouraged to set the longest period they feel they need. We retain self-exclusion records to prevent re-registration under new details during the exclusion window.
cd999 support staff receive training in responsible gambling identification and support. Our team understands the difference between a player seeking entertainment and one showing signs of distress, and is equipped to respond appropriately in either case.
Know the Signs
Problem gambling can develop gradually. Recognising the early signs — in yourself or someone you know — is the first step toward getting things back under control.
Chasing losses: Placing bigger bets to recover money already lost, or extending sessions well beyond your planned limit to "win back" what you have spent.
Gambling with money you cannot afford: Using funds intended for rent, groceries, utility bills, school fees or other essential expenses to fund gambling activity.
Preoccupation with gambling: Spending a significant amount of time thinking about gambling — planning the next session, reliving past bets, or researching strategies obsessively.
Concealing gambling activity: Hiding the extent of your gambling from family members, friends or colleagues out of shame or fear of their reaction.
Neglecting responsibilities: Missing work, family commitments or other important obligations because of time spent gambling, or because of stress arising from gambling losses.
Borrowing to gamble: Taking loans, credit, or borrowing from family and friends in Pakistan — including friends in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan or elsewhere — to fund gambling activity.
Inability to stop: Making repeated unsuccessful attempts to cut down, control or stop gambling, even when you know it is causing harm.
Emotional distress: Experiencing anxiety, irritability, depression or mood swings that are clearly connected to gambling outcomes or the urge to gamble.
Reflect Honestly
Read through these questions and answer them honestly. This is not a clinical diagnostic tool, but if you find yourself answering "Yes" to several of them, it may be time to use the tools on this page or speak with someone you trust.
Have you ever gambled more than you planned to in a single session?
Have you ever felt guilt or shame after a gambling session?
Have you ever used gambling as a way to escape stress, anxiety or personal problems?
Have you placed bets using money that was needed for household expenses?
Has someone close to you ever expressed concern about your gambling?
Do you find it difficult to stop gambling once you have started a session?
This is a reflective tool, not a diagnosis. If several of your answers above concern you, please consider setting account limits, activating a cooling-off period, or speaking with our support team about self-exclusion. The options on this page are here for you to use — there is no stigma in doing so.
